CBC

The complete blood count, or CBC, is one of the most frequently requested laboratory tests. This test provides a wealth of information and maybe beneficial in the diagnosis and treatment of the number of conditions. Uses include but are not limited to, detection and evaluations of anemia, evaluations or reactions to inflammations and infections, detection and evaluation of leukemias. A CBC report typically includes a white cell count (WBC), red cell count (RBC), hemoglobin, hematocrit, red cell indices and morphology, a WBC differential, platelet count or estimate and platelet morphology.
